My weekends are precious and I make it a point not to do anything remotely related to work during this time. This includes not answering a call from my mobile phone from an unknown number. I've had several encounters in the past where I thought wala lang so sige, sagot and what do you know, I just end up talking to a client or someone from the branch. For the record, I love my work but let's try to keep that 5 days a week only, hokie??? =)
So my beautiful Saturday morning was interrupted with an incessant ringing of my mobile phone from yet another unknown number. I figured if it's really important, they would text so deadma. It continued for the next 15 minutes, then stopped for like 20 seconds then this time, it was a landline number calling. I just stared at it thinking, "No, no, triple no. I'm not going to fall for it this time," so tuloy ang deadma.
It continued for another 15 minutes!
Finally I broke my restraint and answered.
Me: Hello *indifferent voice*
Person on the other line: Good morning. Ms. Larosa please? *super bubbly annoying voice*
Me: Yes?
Mr. Bubbly: Ma'am, hello! I'm from MSD (?). Yung messenger po namin ayaw papasukin sa gate ng village niyo. Wala daw po kayo.
Me: What's MSD?
Mr. Bubbly: Sa Flower Depot po...
OOOOO-H.
Mr. Bubbly: Ma'am, baka po puwedeng pakitawag sa guard. 30 minutes na po andun yung messenger and malayo pa po yung ibang delivery... pasensiya na Ma'am...
Me: Ok, no problem! *my turn to be bubbly!*
A minute later...
